What is OzStaff’s Same Day Pay?

OzStaff’s Same Day Pay is an exclusive benefit that allows eligible staff to cash out their wages on the same day they work, instead of waiting for the regular payroll cycle.

How does Same Day Pay work?

Once you complete your shift and your timesheet is approved by the host employer, an eligible candidate has the option to cash out their pay on the same day.

Who is eligible for Same Day Pay?

Staff who meet the eligibility criteria, this can be found at the top of this page. You can also check with your consultant to see if you qualify.

Will it cost me anything?

No, Same Day Pay is a free benefit for eligible OzStaff employees. There are no interest fees or hidden charges.

Can I still choose to be paid on the regular payroll cycle?

Yes, Same Day Pay is optional. If you prefer to receive your wages on the usual payday, you don’t need to take any action.

Why do I only receive 70% of my wage through SDP?

Your daily payment is based only on the hours you completed for that day. We are unable to calculate your total tax accurately until all your hours for the week are completed. That’s why only a portion of your wage (up to 70%) is released via Same Day Pay.

When do I get the rest of my pay?

The remaining balance will be paid on the standard weekly pay cycle — every Thursday.

Will I get taxed more?

No. Using SDP does not increase the amount of tax you pay. Your total tax is calculated as normal at the end of the pay period.
